“The contrast of light and shadow through a tunnel of trees is a subject that I have painted many times along Pratthall Lane near Wirksworth.
Painted in early October, there were hints of autumn colour and the red berries and holly were glistening in the sunlight.
A subject that required much impasto and texture in the paint.”
